After the Cardinals folded, Roxbury was picked up by the Centrals, joining them on January 6, 1928. He would go on to coach around Brooklyn after his playing days.

Roxbury moved from Brooklyn to Florida in 1973.

He married Marjorie Berry (1905-1979) and they had no children.
