A popular high-scoring forward in the east, Gaza played for many years in various leagues and changed teams frequently. One of many forgotten stars of his era, he also played nine seasons in the ABL

Later a policeman at Perth Amboy, Chizmadia was very active in putting together reunions of old-time basketball players throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He suffered from rheumatoid arthritis in his later years.
