Also played pro football for the New York Yankees in the AFL in 1936. He taught physical education at Tuckahoe High School before being the athletics supervisor for the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. He died in 1972 from a heart ailment.

He was married to Rosalind.
