Jack Mahnen

Born to John and Angela Mahnen, Jack went to Loyola University before entering the U.S. Army for World War 2. After the war, the lefthander signed with the Yankees and pitched in their farm system in 1945. He returned home to Toledo and enrolled at UT as well as playing semi-pro basketball for the Jeeps. He played pro basketball for the Hurricanes of the PBLA. He later worked as a sales representative for HCM Graphic Arts Systems, retiring in 1983.

Jack was married to Mary and they had a son and two daughters.
