1948-49 DETROIT VAGABOND KINGS
NATIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Western Division
Finished: 2-17 .105, 5th place

The Kings were a barnstorming professional team for years before joining the NBL prior to the 1948-49 season. Following the December 16, 1948, loss to Anderson, the Kings, citing financial problems, withdrew from the league. They were replaced by the barnstorming Dayton Rens for the remainder of the NBL season.
